Dirt Critters term 1

Please ensure you have AusCycling membership up to date prior to registration for Dirt Critters. Full ‘Lifestyle’ or ‘Race Off Road’ membership is required to cover the 8-week critter period. Please ensure you finalise membership first and then complete registration for the Dirt Critter program using this entry system.

All kids will need to be a financial member of AusCycling to be involved for insurance purposes. Dirt Critters is organised through Club M.U.D. who have a Gravity MTB focus, however other local clubs including Ballarat Sebastopol Cycling Club (Cross Country MTB), and VOGA (Cross Country MTB) have been involved over the years. When joining AusCycling, please look to join one of these clubs and support them. 

No membership = no ride. You won’t be able to register unless your membership is up to date.

Either ‘Lifestyle’ or ‘Race off Road’ AusCycling membership is required to be involved.

All kids must also have a maintained Mountain Bike with handlebar mounted brake levers (please avoid pedal brakes) as well as a helmet that is in good condition - This is due to safety to ensure they have the right gear for the type of riding they will be doing.

Over the first two weeks we’ll work to place them into a suitable group where they have similar fitness and skills levels. From the third week critters we’ll be riding in a suitable group each week having fun, building their fitness and skills as well as making new friends.

Session times are 5.30-6.30pm on a Tuesday night. Please arrive and be ready by 5.15pm as groups leave strictly at 5.30pm

Entry Fee

$25 Once-off fee for the full term.

We’ll be at a few locations in the region including Mt Clear, Black Hill, Nerrina and Creswick Trails to keep things fresh!

Our calendar is below, and each session will commence at 5:30 sharp (so please get there beforehand).

• 10/02/26: Mt Clear Trail Network- northern side of Mt Clear Secondary College

• 17/02/26: Black Hill Trail Network - Sims St, Black Hill, Top Carpark

• 24/02/26: Black Hill Trail Network

• 03/03/26: Creswick Trails, Hammon Park

• 10/03/26: Creswick Trails

• 17/03/26: Nerrina, Little Bendigo Primary School

• 24/03/26: Nerrina

• 31/03/26: Mt Clear Trail Network - Race & Family Pizza night!
